Anode
An anode is the conductor connected to the positive terminal of an electric cell during electrolysis. Also, it is the positive terminal of an electric cell.
NB: The terminal (end) of an electric cell is also called a pole. A series of two or more electric cells form a battery. A chemical cell is an electric cell that produces electricity through chemical reaction.
An anode is either inert or active.
